Back-end Web Development Quality Assurance Team Leader

Job Description

• Lead a team of backend QA engineers, providing guidance and mentoring to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend systems
• Execute and automate test cases to validate the functionality, reliability, performance, and scalability of our software applications
• Collaborate with development teams to understand the technical details of the software under test and provide input on testability
• Identify, prioritize, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend QA testing methodologies
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirement

• A recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent 
• A minimum of 7-year experience in Back-end software testing and quality assurance or a similar role
• Very strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
• Experience with backend testing frameworks and tools, such as JUnit or TestNG or xUnit
• Experience with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and version control systems.
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools, such as Jira or TestRail
• Good command of English communication both spoken and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy and precision
• Experience in a Construction Company will be an advantage
